SUMMARY:City of Venice's annual Fourth of July Fireworks
LOCATION:See Site for best viewing locations
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us Saturday, July 4, as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary and 1
00 Years of Venice with the City of Venice's annual Fourth of July Firework
s display!

The professional display will be fired by Zambelli Fi
reworks from the South Jetty beginning around 9 p.m., following a test shot
between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. The show will be visible from many beachside pa
rks and public viewing areas along the shoreline.*

Boaters: Plan
ahead! The Venice Inlet will close to vessel traffic around 8:30 p.m. and
remain closed until approximately 30 minutes after the finale. Be sure to c
heck the tide schedule before heading out on the water.

Sea turt
le nesting season is in full swing. As part of the Venice Beach Shore Prote
ction Project, Mote Marine Laboratory is relocating nests within the projec
t area under state authorization. Please continue to watch for and avoid al
l marked sea turtle nests when choosing your viewing spot. Leave plenty of
space around marked nesting areas, and remember to fill in any holes and pa
ck out everything you bring before leaving the beach. Some public viewing a
reas may also be impacted by beach renourishment equipment and staging area
s.

Help keep our beaches beautiful. Pack in, pack out by taking
everything you bring with you, including trash, recycling, broken tents or
chairs, and whatever else you toted out to the beach.

A reminder
about personal fireworks: The City burn ban issued in April remains in eff
ect. While Florida law generally allows certain personal fireworks on Indep
endence Day, an active burn ban supersedes that allowance, making personal
fireworks illegal. Leave the pyrotechnics to the professionals and enjoy a
safe, spectacular show with us or use an alternative like glowsticks or col
ored bubbles.

We can't wait to celebrate this historic Independe
nce Day with our community!

*The South Jetty remains closed to t
he public and will only be accessed by the Zambelli Fireworks professionals
and Venice FL Fire Rescue personnel. Fireworks visibility may vary by loca
tion and is dependent on weather, wind, and cloud conditions.
