Port Charlotte Library Farewell Event

The Port Charlotte Library has served generations of residents, creating cherished memories, inspiring lifelong learning, and bringing our community together. After decades of dedicated service, the Port Charlotte Public Library will permanently close following July 11.

The library is closing because the facility has reached the end of its useful life, and the surrounding Cultural Center campus has sustained significant hurricane-related damage.

The community is invited to celebrate the library’s remarkable legacy at a farewell event on Saturday, July 11. The day will begin with a farewell ceremony at 10:30 a.m., followed by a community celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Port Charlotte Library.
